channeling Bret Michaels....

just a note, I am not a fan of bret michaels, but he was on some ridiculous "do you know the lyrics" singing show when I was flipping channels last night, when ollie walked out of my room with my head scarf on this morning He was all I saw... funny...

cooking with the daddio...

the other night B got home from work, I was making dinner with two little men running around my legs. I handed over two boys, a can of pumpkin, a box of brownie mix, three spoons and a bowl. So B and the boys made dessert. Fantastic.

okay so this is dorky...

...but I love the look of a well-balanced meal for my boys. Chickenless nuggets are their favorite lunch choice (that and PB and honey), and my boys LOVE broccoli. When I serve them good meals, and they eat them up, it makes me feel like at least I am
doing something right.

the big potty...

We have been working on potty training in our house, I must admit I am kind of lazy about it. I know boys take longer than girls and we are just kind of easing into it. But I think Ollie is kind of lazy about it too. He likes his pull-ups. He was stoked on underwear for about a week, and now throws a tantrum when I try to wiggle his little bum into the stylin buzz lightyear briefs...

We did have an accomplishment the other day, he went poop for the first time on the big potty... his reward an orange jelly. I remember my mom always had jars of mini marshmallows in the bathroom when potty training my younger siblings... jellys are kind of workin for us.... eventually he will get it, I am not to worried... I am sure he will get it by the time he starts school... right?
