I am at my mom's today... and looking through photo's on her computer... here are some that I think are funny....

ollie was a funny looking little bugger, he is still kind of funny looking but i think there was quite an improvement there....

the weekend little mister max entered the world.... coming up on his 1st b-day on thanksgiving... i can't believe it has been a year...

Wedding bells....

On saturday one of our friends wendy got married to a great guy ryan.... My family has known wendy forever, she is one of jo's best friends and they were friends in kindergarten.... Jo, Wendy, and I all lived together when I was 24 and I think they were 21 something like that... it was'nt very long, but long enough to have funny memories together... like our kitchen had slugs in it, how gross is that.... and how did slugs get in our apartment... we also all did these crazy diets, the girls more than me, they would only eat squash for like a week at a time and than go crazy on the weekends... we also did alot of taebo and jogging in that house... it was fun......

anyway wendy got married out at McMenamins Edgefield and it was super fun... she had an irish band play at the reception and ollie was a dancing machine.... we had to drag the kid out of there..... we ate, we danced, and ran around it was super fun... congrats wendy and ryan we like you guys lots.....

cousin joey....

last month i ran down to stayton to watch little joey man... it was so much fun for the boys... Rachel and Jason have this great park right across the street, joey is one lucky kid...

we stayed for the weekend and played, played, played.... joey is right in between the two boys in age, and fits in perfect.... it is actually quite easy to watch the three of them... There back yard is'nt finished yet so it is a big lot of dirt and rocks.... a little boys dream playground.... I think ollie would prefer it if our yard was just dirt and rocks...

just a quick self-focused note....

My curls are coming back...

prego hormones and me do not mix.... my hair does not get full and gorgeous like other womans... my skin does not glow.... i get all icky, my hair goes limp, my skin breaks out and turns blotchy, and i get these huge dark circles under my eyes.... it looks like the life is being literally sucked out of me, how ironic is that, when i am gaining weight at crazy speeds... anyway back to my hair... the curls are finally coming back... a year after birthing max and i am starting to resemble the me before all this happened... yaaaaa

man i suck...

so I have really slacked this october... only one post.. that is sad..

so here it is what I have been up to... this may be random but I have alot to get caught up on..

I had the honor of being asked to do a painting for a friend that was getting married... she wanted something different to give to her husband as a wedding gift... I am very self conscious of my painting style... of course i like how i paint... but it is such a personal thing that i always feel really exposed when i do stuff for other people... but anyway this is how it turned out.... no one sparkles like you is a song by one of his favorite artists, and he also made her a mixed tape when they first started dating titled with that song... I thought it was cute... i also did three small paintings... one that said my friend, one said my love, and the last said my life.... I have had them hanging in my dining room for the last 2 weeks and am so sad to see it go, my dining room now looks bare... guess I need to go out and get some canvasses...

I delivered my first two real orders of burdy fly away shirts.... one to a great store grasshopper... and one to an online store babywit.com... so you will have to check them both out... it was pretty exciting... also very exciting to get some money... my first paycheck in a year.... yes.... it has been quite a learning experience though... I have no clue what I am doing, and both shops ended up paying me more per shirt than I even asked for, I thought my wholesale price was crazy... and they paid me more... fantastic... I guess being the kind of thrifty girl I am I would never pay thirty bucks for a kids shirt... but obviously people pay it since that is what they are charging for them... flippin crazy....

The boys are doing awesome... this is max and the bounty of our pumpkin patch... we got a total of four pumpkins... they were pretty punny looking things but hey, my first attempt so not bad... my garden is now all pulled up... it was kind of sad but freeing to hack down all those darn tomatoe plants that started driving me crazy toward the end.... way to many tomatoes... next year i will only have about half as many plants...

what else... we are trying to get into a routine... i am thinking about joining a playschool cooperative to give me a little free time and to get us on a schedule.. i am slightly hestitant to do this I like the freedom of pajama days... haa I really should get us involved...

Max has also taken to climbing in and out of everything....

the toy box, the drawer at the bottom of the oven... boxes.... baskets, the bottom of chairs...you name it... the kid is crazy... he also has mastered the art of climbing on things... the coffee table... the dining room table.... I never had this problem with ollie... he also did not walk until 15 months... and max is only 11 months now, and has been walking since 9 months.... sometimes i just want to grab the kid and tell him to slow down.. you are my baby..... you are growing to fast.... but than i realize this is him, and let him go crazy... his poor little head though... so many bonks already...

speaking of babies growing to fast... i can't wait till the next one... we have a couple of years before we plan on doing this whole thing again, but I am excited... I love our family and can't wait to add another little man or woman to the mix... max will be a great middle child... I should know....

on another note... guess who turns 30 in two days... yep me.... flippin 30.... not that I really care about numbers... but good god... how did 30 sneak up on me....

oh the joys of updates...

so we have been very busy, and i have a ton of fun pictures... but right now i have a demanding little man sitting in his high chair next to me, a pot full of chicken and dumplings on the stove, and 4 lovely pumpkins freshly picked from the pumpkin patch waiting to have their heads sliced open for carving when B, his mom, and ollie get back from the store... so instead of allllll my updates I will give you this...



The easiest and yummiest chicken and dumplings ever....



2-4 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts

2-13 oz cans of chicken broth



in a big pot, toss in the chicken broth and breasts. Bring to a boil and cook until the chicken is firm and fully cooked. Remove the chicken breast and cube and toss back into the pot. add about a cup a water and a bag of mixed frozen veggies. I like the steamfresh mixed veggies the best. bring back to a boil... add fresh pepper and salt to taste, you can also add garlic....



in a bowl mix:

2 cups bisquick baking mix

2/3 cup milk



mix together with a fork until just blended, reduce your chicken and broth to simmer and drop dumpling mix in by the tablespoon. Cover tightly and simmer for 15 minutes, or a little longer until the dumplings feel like they are done (kinda bouncy), 15 minutes about does it....



If you are related to me, you already now this recipe.... and if you are not, this is a great dinner, super easy and hearty..... my family loves it...



I also had to include the picture of max's little feet, these are my favorite socks ever, we got a almost 15 pair when ollie was born I am about down to 5-6 with max. the sock monster ate them.... anyway he is growing out of them, so sad... that is okay though they will get packed away for the next little bugger....
